Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. You need a free Eden account to open it. The images are generated with your own Google AI Studio key, and Google bills them per image.
How do I install it?
Copy the install prompt from the product and paste it into your agent. It installs the skill and the server, then walks you through your API key and a 2-minute video of your face. Count about 20 minutes, once.
What does a thumbnail cost me?
A first round is 3 images per concept at 1K resolution, and only for the concepts you tick. The skill logs every image it generates, so you always know what a video cost you. Google's current prices are at ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/pricing.
Do I need Claude Code?
Any agent that supports MCP servers works: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor. Without an agent, the AI in this product can still research concepts with you in Eden, but generating the images needs the agent.
Do I need an Eden subscription?
To run the research step, yes. It relies on Eden's data on YouTube outliers. You can read the SOP, the skill and the code without one.
Do I need design skills?
No. You describe what you want in plain words, the way you'd brief a designer. The agent turns your words into the technical prompt.
Will it look like me?
That's what the face bank is for. The model gets 4 or 5 real photos of you per concept, picked for the angle the concept needs, plus a short description of your face. You review every result and can ask for changes until it's right.
Is my API key safe?
It stays on your computer, in your Keychain or an environment variable. The server reads it from there, and you never paste it into a chat.
